Tieline Codecs: Remote broadcasts over all networks including UMTS!Dear reader, Although still 6 weeks away we want to inform you of what you can expect to see from the Tieline audio codecs, portable and 19” studio versions, at the forthcoming AES in Paris. As Tieline’s European partner we know like no other, how much effort Tieline is putting into the further adaptation of reporter codecs in order to make use of the new and promising networks. Whether they are fixed lines – X.21, ISDN, POTS or Internet – or wireless connections – GSM, HSCSD, UMTS or other 3G networks - you can be sure that any of your Tieline G3 codecs will be able to work on it. UMTS and EVDO are described in more detail on page 3. The enclosed Tieline newsletter “Remote Broadcast News 2006”, announces some of the new features.
